Save the Date! Bruins Hall of Famer Ray Bourque to Speak at Celebrity Scholarship Dinner

Save the Date

The Center for Marketing Research (CMR) at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is proud to announce that Boston Bruins Hall of Famer, Ray Bourque will be the celebrity speaker at their 14th Annual Celebrity/Scholarship Dinner on April 9, 2014 at the Venus de Milo Restaurant in Swansea, MA.

Bourque currently holds several records, including most career goals, assists, and points by a defenceman in the NHL. As captain for fifteen years, he was the longest-serving captain for the Boston Bruins, (from 1985 to 2000) and played for the team for twenty-one seasons (from 1979 to 2000). Bourque played for the Colorado Avalanche for a season and a half, became alternate captain, and kept his #77. Upon his retirement, #77 was retired from both teams, and Bourque became only one of six players whose jersey has been retired by more than one team. In 2004, the first season that Bourque was eligible to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, he was inducted.

This is an exceptional opportunity to get up close and personal with a true hockey legend.  Guests will enjoy a full course dinner and will have the opportunity to hear Ray Bourque speak about his life and career experiences. Bourque will also be presenting the scholarship awards. Dinner tickets are $90.00 each ($850 for a table of 10). Pictures/posters will be available for purchase.

You can be a part of this unique event in a number of ways. Buy tickets as a holiday gift for any sports fan, donate a scholarship and take the stage with Mr. Bourque as it is awarded, or purchase an ad in the keepsake program.  To purchase tickets, or obtain more information, please contact Ava Lescault by phone at 508-910-6435 or email to
